Accessibility statement

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the Lost Collection website and services, and we have tried to create a website with simple and clear design and content.

New regulations came into force for public sector bodies on 23 September 2018 which say that public sector websites and mobile apps must be more accessible by making them ‘perceivable, operable, understandable and robust’. The full name of the regulations is the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

As part of our service provision to all our users, we are currently reviewing our site to check how far it meets international accessibility standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), by carrying out an access audit and using an automated validator to check the site and content.

We endeavour to have the Lost Collection website reaching WCAG 2.1 Double-A compliance, and we will publish an accessibility statement which outlines the current levels of accessibility and identifies any access problems, as well as a prioritised plan of action to fix them.

We are working on this now and will publish it very soon. In the meantime, if you have any queries related to the accessibility of the site please contact Andrew Davis on [email protected] with any queries.
